I created my very first web site when I was 13, managing to get a free hosting and own domains from some good samaritans who were willing to support my project without anything in exchange (well, except some link exchange – the way web advertising was done back then!). That project – manga and anime series – was surprisingly successful, reaching thousands of unique visitors per day and encouraging me to keep learning and offering new features to the users, such as a free web-based (using innovative AJAX techniques…!) role-playing game that ultimately led me to open new projects after some years, such as a fantasy football manager web-based game that synchronised with real world data after every matchday.

These were the roots of my passion for technology and data, which I kept feeding until nowadays.
